Ucomposites have in 2024 completed a large project documenting carbon emission from our different recycled glass fiber products. The Product Carbon Footprint (PFC) provides a cradle-to-gate carbon footprint of Ucomposite’s products based on ISO 14067 standards.
Ucomposites created this tool together with Rambøll, a leading management consultancy with strong expertise within sustainability because we’re committed to understanding and reducing our environmental impact. By knowing exactly how much carbon we emit, we can make smarter decisions to protect the planet. Ucomposites best-selling product “UMAFO-01” emits only 94 Kg Co2e per ton of recycled glass fiber. Using recycled glass fiber products from Ucomposites results in a potential reduction of emission up to 95% *.
* Emissions equivalent to 94 kg Co2 and vs. virgin manufactured glass fiber this is a reduction of carbon emission of 95%.
