UMATIC NONWOVEN

UMATIC NONWOVEN is used for glass fiber reinforcement in industrial nonwoven textiles. It is suitable for processes such as cross-lapping and airlaying for eg. needle punching. It is frequently blended with polypropylene for glass fiber reinforced plastic automotive parts, with polyester for roofing waterproofing membranes, with cotton and other fibers, or used as a pure glass fiber nonwoven.

Ucomposites offers a range of raw materials tailored to specific applications, including E-glass or ECR-glass, various fiber lengths, and small- or standard-micron filament sizes. Fibers can be supplied at different degrees of opening: non-opened, roughly opened, finely opened, or double-opened.

The glass fiber raw material for UMATIC is sourced from post-industrial waste—unused, high-quality glass fiber production waste that would otherwise end up in landfills—making it an environmentally friendly alternative to virgin fibers. Ucomposites provides certified documentation and data on sustainability and product carbon footprints.
