In January 2023 Ucomposites opened its production facility in Portugal, located just outside Porto.
To establish a daughter company – in fact a manufacturing plant – in another country, with a different culture, language and business environment, success cannot be taken for granted. However, this has been a true adventure. Today, 2,5 years after the Grand Opening, the Portugal-facility produces a monthly output of more than 250 tons of recycled glass fiber for customers across four continents. With great leadership from country manager Diogo Martins and our wonderful team in Portugal, the company have succeeded in getting this far in a short period of time. The plan is to scale up Ucomposites Portugal further adding more production lines, capacity and renting more production square meters to cater for the growth.
