UTILITY THERMAL & ACOUSTICS

UTILITY THERMAL & ACOUSTICS is an ultra-low density high performance glass fiber based on E-glass or ECR-glass produced into a remarkable lightweight wooly material. UTILITY has excellent acoustic noise reduction performance and heat resistance and is designed specifically for use in inlet/exhaust silencers for high heat resistance and is designed for gas turbines, industrial turbines, boilers & heat recovery steam.

 

For Industrial & power plant insulation

Industrial applications such as gas turbines, industrial turbines, boilers and heat recovery steam have a demand for insulation with high heat resistance and noise reduction. Ucomposites have developed Utility Thermal & Acoustics for insulation with a high thermal resistance and excellent acoustics. The product is also supplied to major automotive muffler and exhaust system manufactures for thermal and acoustic insulation. Utility Thermal & Acoustics is an ultra-low density high performance glass fiber based on E-glass or ECR-glass, processed to a remarkable lightweight wooly material. Utility Thermal & Acoustics has excellent acoustic noise reduction performance and heat resistance. Ucomposites supply the fibers in different lengths, standard cutting length is 80mm.

For Exhaust Technology

As muffler exhaust insulation, it increases the acoustic performance up to 100% better compared to perforated bags or blown-in rovings. Due to the low-density material, the product has a superior sound absorption across all frequencies and will secure a complete muffler fill out. This means less Utility Thermal & Acoustics is required, measured by weight, to reach the same acoustic performance as products from other suppliers. With a durability of less than 1% loss of ignition, the fibers are resistant to blow-out and a long life acoustic performance is secured. Ucomposites supply the fibers in different lengths, standard cutting length is 80mm.
