About

Ucomposites A/S is a pioneer in recycling of composites and glass fibers.

The company is market leader in Europe and probably the largest in the world of its kind. The company is established by the two Danish entrepreneurs Jakob Grymer Tholstrup and Anders Linnet in 2010. After a couple of years of research and development, Ucomposites established its first composites recycling plant. The objective was to supply cheaper chopped glass fiber as close to virgin quality as possible – but with a significant better carbon footprint.

Sustainability has from day-one been key to us. We insist on pushing the industry toward using recycled materials and contribute to reduction in carbon emissions.

Our name symbolizes a U-turn in the conventional way of thinking composites. However, the U symbolize more than sustainable composites, it also symbolizes “you” as we aim to be flexible and accommodate individual product needs. Our track record has proved our mission possible. Today, Ucomposites supply chopped fibers to some of the most demanding blue-chip customers, including the automotive industry around the world.
